Agent Guide

How to become an Agent:

What are Agents, and what do they do?
Agents are trusted users who have played Chotopia for a long time. These users are around to help new Chotopians learn about all of the cool features on Chotopia. They participate largely in the Chotopia community, providing us with amazing outlets of creativity, such as Chotopia-related blogs or YouTube channels. In addition to helping new users, Agents move around watching over the game preventing bad users from causing problems and ensuring everyone is kept safe and happy.

What features do Agents get?
Since agents are a big help to the Chotopia Team, they are rewarded nicely. Agents have a blue colored chat bubble and name plate so you can easily recognise them. In addition, they will receive a cool badge on their player card in the upper right hand corner. A special room was developed for agents to chill out in, a graffiti wall to make Chotopia beautiful, and a special agency catalog!

What is an Elite Agent?

An Elite Agent is essentially a "higher-up Agent". They have access to more tools and have more permissions. With more permissions, comes more responsibility. An Agent may be promoted to an Elite Agent if the Staff Team feels as though they are ready for the increased responsibility.

What happens if an Agent breaks the rules?
It's always a shame when an agent has to be de-agented. Agents are role models on Chotopia, and need to obey the rules at all times. If you think an agent isn't doing their job properly, please send a support ticket with a picture, and we can see what's up.

What happens if an Agent gets hacked?
Chotopia has over 5 different methods to prevent accounts from being accessed without a password, or using an invalid password. Players of Chotopia can only be 'hacked' if their password is weak, or they share their password, which is against the rules.

How do I become an Agent?
To become an Agent, you have to show off your helpful and friendly qualities. A great way to get involved in the community is to create a blog or YouTube channel, or stay active in our Discord. This can often get you more recognised. Helping out new users and Agents are also a great way to prove you deserve Agency. Moderators and Agents are always on the lookout for new potential candidates, so make sure you get noticed! Finally, remember that becoming an Agent takes time.

Good luck!
